Auburn Career Center is accredited by the state of Ohio to teach all levels of EMS providers. Auburn Career Center holds a letter of review with CoAEMSP for National Accreditation. Auburn Career Center offers all levels of EMS Education. Below you can find information about the courses and a Link to register for the courses on line.

Emergency Medical Technician-
The Emergency Medical Technician is an entry level EMS program that all students must start with if you plan on a career in EMS. Auburn Career Center's program is 220 hours long which includes 32 hours of Clinical Field internship time. This exceeds ODPS requirements and makes our program more in depth and gives students more time to retain and apply the knowledge learned. The clinical rotations can be done in local emergency rooms and over 40 different ambulances across Northeast Ohio. This program utilizes Virtual Reality Technology to help teach critical thinking skills. The program also includes the cost of up to ALL six attempts of the NREMT exam.

This class starts each year in March and August. The part-time program meets two days a week from 1800–2200 and several Saturdays to reinforce skills (enrollment due prior month).

There is a Summer Accelerated program that meets four days a week, four hours a day that starts every June (enrollment due the prior month).

This program is considered part-time and is not eligible for Federal Financial Aid by itself. This program is approved for VA funding.

Do you want us to do a custom EMT program just for your company or station? Just ask, we can do that and might have grant funding to help. Call Sean Davis for details 440-358-8026.

Paramedic Program -
The full-time paramedic program is for EMT's and EMT-A's who want to take their EMS education to the next level. It is 1,020 hours long which includes 510 hours clinical field Internship time. This Paramedic program is more in-depth than any other in Northeast Ohio, spending over 100 hours more than others in the lab learning how to apply the skills to be successful. Our 2023 CoAEMSP (CAHEEP) site visit found zero violations, Auburn is the only program in Ohio who has accomplished this. This speaks directly to the quality of our program and the instructors teaching it.

Our accrediting body verifies that if you are looking for the best you have found it. https://www.caahep.org/students/find-an-accredited-program

While in class two days a week for six hours a day, you will also be completing clinical and field rotations. If you are employed by an affiliate of Auburn Career Center, and you are the “third person” on the ambulance, you can count working hours as clinical hours. The other benefit to our program over others is you can work your Paramedic class schedule around your job. Meaning you have a choice of which day you attend each week to keep a dependable work schedule whole, allowing you to support yourself while in school. This program also includes the cost of up to all six attempts at the NREMT exam.

This class starts each year in March and August Full-time program meets two days a week from 1530 - 2130 or 0900 – 1500.

This is the schedule that allows flexibility with your shift.
